Dr. Rodney Tyson serves as the Deputy Superintendent of Baldwin County Schools, bringing a unique blend of leadership experience from education, the military, and the private sector. With over two decades of service in education, Dr. Tyson has held roles as a high school principal, alternative school principal, and district administrator, providing him with deep insight into school operations, instructional leadership, and student centered improvement.

A retired military officer, Dr. Tyson is recognized for his disciplined and strategic approach to leadership, as well as his unwavering commitment to service. His background also includes years as a successful business owner, where he developed skills in team management, financial operations, and customer service, skills that translate seamlessly into leading large, complex school systems.

Dr. Tyson holds a doctorate in educational leadership and brings a results oriented focus to his work in Baldwin County. He is passionate about building strong systems that support principals, empower teachers, and drive student success.
