Lakeview Academy's Thiele STEM Lab has started the year with some hissing visitors! Students were equally fascinated and repelled by the creatures as some bravely agreed to have the insects crawl on their arms! STEM teacher, Mrs. Goldberg, introduced students not only to the hissing cockroaches but also to all the variations that are possible among living organisms in our world! They studied leaf shapes and viewed leaf and flower structures through stereoscopes. The STEM Lab is sure to become a favorite Exploratory class at LVA.
