State Superintendent Richard Woods speaking with students at Lakeview Academy

The Baldwin County School District welcomed State Superintendent of Schools Richard Woods personally delivered hundreds of books for the district at Lakeview Academy this morning. Superintendent Woods, arriving in a 20ft box-truck loaded with books for grades 3-8, helped unload the boxes and took a tour at some of the innovative strategies our team at Lakeview Academy have implemented in their classrooms. The delivery is part of a special literacy campaign by the Georgia Department of Education aiming at increasing literacy rates all across the state.
