BCSD Employee of the Week - Dawson Roberts

Dawson Roberts, one of our Instructional Technology Specialists, is this week's BOE Employee of the Week.

Mr. Roberts has worked for the school district for six years. One of the things he loves most about his job is being able to unravel puzzles and find answers to intricate problems as well as being a part of an innovative forward-thinking school district.

"I love finding solutions to puzzles and problems and my position as Instructional Technology Specialist allows me to do just that. The best part of my job is working with our talented and creative educators to help them utilize technology to simplify their workflow and bring innovative, transformative ideas to life in their classrooms or workspaces."

Mr. Roberts graduated from Jones County High School in 2009. He has three degrees from Georgia College & State University: Bachelor's in English - Creative Writing in 2013, M.A.T in Secondary Education in 2014, and Specialist's in Educational Leadership in 2017.

Although originally from Jones County, Mr. Roberts lives in Baldwin County. He is a newlywed. He married the love of his life in August. They live with their two dogs and one cat: Clover, Jackson, and Jasper.

Outside of work, he enjoys cooking for his friends and family, especially sourdough breads and barbeque. With his literary background, he also enjoys anything with a good narrative. He is currently reading Recursion by Blake Crouch, watching The Legend of Korra, and playing Destiny 2. One of his favorite movies is Shaun of the Dead. He also lives for hiking, kayaking, camping and exploring our beautiful planet.

We are so glad to have Mr. Roberts on our team here at the Baldwin County School District. His work and dedication to his job is greatly appreciated!
