Oak Hill Celebrates International Literacy Day on September 8th

International Literacy Day was celebrated on September 8th. The day aims at raising awareness and reminding people of the importance of literacy as a matter of dignity and human rights. The theme for International Literacy Day 2020 is “Literacy teaching and learning in the COVID-19 crisis and beyond” Dr. Kachari Davis, 6th Grade Assistant Principal, lead both her in person and remote students, as well as her staff, in a community building reading activity. Dr. Kareem Epps, 7th Grade Assistant Principal, served as guest reader in Mrs. Cox's class in celebration of the special day.
