Baldwin College & Career Academy Celebrates Inaugural CTSO Officer Installation Ceremony

Baldwin County School District celebrated a new milestone Wednesday, September 23rd, as the Baldwin College & Career Academy hosted its inaugural Career Technical Student Organization (CTSO) Officer Installation Ceremony at the Baldwin High School Fine Arts Auditorium. The evening recognized students stepping into leadership roles across the district’s Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education programs and celebrated the opportunities these organizations provide for students to grow as leaders, professionals, and community members.

CTSOs are an essential part of the CTAE experience because they give students opportunities to take what they learn in the classroom and put it into practice.

Through organizations including CTI, DECA, FCCLA, FFA, Future Georgia Educators, HOSA, NJROTC, SkillsUSA, and TSA, Baldwin students develop leadership, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and professional skills while competing, serving their communities, and preparing for life beyond high school.

During the ceremony, CTAE Director James Lassetter spoke about the importance of Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education and the role these programs play in preparing students for college, careers, and the workforce. The district was also pleased to welcome guest speakers Mayor Pro Tem Denese Shinholster and Mr. Steven Davis, who shared their encouragement with our students as they begin their year of leadership and service.

For Baldwin County School District, the evening represented more than the installation of officers. It was a celebration of students who are choosing to lead, serve, and prepare themselves for what comes next. We are proud of our newly installed CTSO officers, grateful to the educators and community members who support them, and excited to see the impact these young leaders will make throughout the 2026–2027 school year.
