Baldwin High School Senior, and dual-sport all-star athlete, Jatavious Harris announced his commitment to play football and run track for the University of Louisville in 2018.
Harris made his decision in the BHS Fine Arts Center, flanked by dozens of family members, coaches and fellow teammates in front of a packed amphitheater of staff, students and the media. Harris has proven himself to be a highly sought after athlete after his astonishing performance on the track and the gridiron over the past several years.
His athletic accolades over his high school career are more than impressive, having won the state championship in the 100m & 200m track events, 2017 state track meet all-points winner, 3x first team all-region football, 2017 first team all-state, 2017 Baldwin High School Football Team Captain and the 2017 Macon Telegraph male Track Athlete of the Year.
Harris' hard work has paid off earning him a full athletic scholarship to the University of Louisville, where he will remain a dual-sport athlete for the Cardinals and will actually be graduating high school early to begin his collegiate career next month.
