Milledgeville-Baldwin Chamber Hosts Annual "Reality Check"

February 22, 2018

One of the best, most eye-opening events for our Baldwin High students each year is the annual "Reality Check" organized by our Partners in Education the Milledgeville-Baldwin Chamber and our work-based learning program within the Baldwin College and Career Academy.

Students are given a series of life scenarios that give them a feel of some of the challenges that come with everyday adult life.  Every student is given their set income based on their proposed educational status and have to make their rounds to see how that income is spent in terms of child care, utilities, insurance, student loans and many other hard realities that adults face everyday.
