Vision and Purpose

SAGE operates as a school-within-a-school on the Oak Hill Middle School campus, emphasizing a rigorous, project-based education with thematic instruction that integrates science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics into all areas of curriculum. SAGE offers an environment in which students grow into problem solvers and innovators. Students become visionaries who understand that perseverance and passion can change the world for the better.

Rigorous, Integrated Curriculum

Teachers collaborate and implement STEAM-focused and thematic curriculum. Students are challenged with advanced science and mathematics coursework including the opportunity in eighth grade to earn high school credit in mathematics, and physical science.

 The curriculum allows students to explore real-world challenges in an academic environment focused on integrating earth science, technology, engineering, math, and the arts. Through inquiry-based learning and partnerships with the local business community, students gain skills that are critical to success in the 21st century. Problem solving is taught through tasks and projects designed to allow students to THINK their way to an answer.
