Baldwin County Board of Education Wins GSBA Leading Edge Award

The Baldwin County School District is proud to announce its unprecedented achievement of earning the prestigious Georgia School Boards Association(GSBA) Leading Edge Award for five consecutive years. This exceptional accomplishment has solidified the district's reputation as a trailblazer in educational excellence and innovation.

The dedicated members of the Baldwin County School Board – Dr. Gloria Wicker (Board Chair), Shannon Hill (Vice-Chair), Lyn Chandler, John Jackson, and Wes Cummings – have played a pivotal role in achieving these milestones. Their leadership and dedication have not only earned them the Leading Edge Award but have also positioned them as strong contenders for the Governance Team of the Year recognition.

As the Baldwin County School District continues to make strides in educational innovation, the Board looks forward to the possibility of adding the Governance Team of the Year award to its list of accolades. This recognition not only reflects the commitment of the Board but also the collective effort of the entire community in supporting and enhancing public education.
