Baldwin County Hosts 2025 GHSA Region 4-AAA Track Championships

Bravettes and Braves Headed to State Sectionals after a strong regional showing.

From April 21–23, Baldwin County School District proudly hosted the 2025 GHSA Region 4-AAA Track & Field Championships at Baldwin High School, welcoming eight competing schools for three days of elite high school athletics.


The event was coordinated by Baldwin County Athletic Director Coach Dexter Ricks and his dedicated team. Their efforts not only ensured smooth logistics across the championship meet, but also showcased the district’s commitment to excellence in athletics, facilities, and event hosting.

“The entire event went off without a hitch thanks to the incredible teamwork of our staff and volunteers,” said Coach Ricks. “We were honored to host and even prouder of how well our student-athletes represented Baldwin County.”

Congratulations to Our 2025 State Championship Qualifiers

After strong showings at both Regionals and Sectionals, the following Baldwin High School athletes have earned their place at the 2025 GHSA AAA State Track and Field Championships to be held in Albany, GA on May 9–10:


Bravettes

  • Zuri Grant – Long Jump

  • Toni Adams – Triple Jump

  • 4x200 Meter Relay Team – Alonie Adams, Nakayla Lundy, Quasia Mitchell, Aveecia Sherman


Braves

  • Z’Kwon Dyous – 200 Meter Dash

  • Epalahame Tonga Taylor – 400 Meter Dash

  • Kyle Levester – High Jump

  • 4x100 Meter Relay Team – Justin Burton, Jerrick Carswell, Jared Mundie, Z’Kwon Dyous
