Each year, on the third Monday of January, we proudly observe Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, paying homage to the influential civil rights leader. Dr. King's impactful journey across the nation conveyed a powerful message of social justice, equality, and love. His call for embracing the constitutional principles and recognizing every individual as equal in the American experience resonates deeply. He urged us to unite and ensure authentic justice for all.
The Baldwin County School District stands resolute in its commitment to nurturing inclusivity for every individual and community. With great pride, we pledge to play a pivotal role in championing racial equality, equity, tolerance, dignity, and understanding. In collaboration with our dedicated employees, families, and the supportive community, we strive to set a profound tone for a just and unified society. Dr. King's vision of a community founded on love and justice continues to inspire our relentless pursuit of realizing his dream. We encourage employees, students, families, and the community as a whole to observe Monday, January 15th with appropriate civic, community, and service projects in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
All Baldwin County Schools and offices will be closed on Monday, January 15, 2024, in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
