Baldwin County School District Hosts Father-Son Bike Ride

ree

The Baldwin County School District, Create Inc., and Riding4Focus hosted a Father-Son Cycling day at Baldwin High School. This event gave fathers and sons the opportunity to bond while participating in physical activity.

Prior to cycling, attendees heard from Baldwin Alumni Willie Tennyson (also known as Manute). Mr. Tennyson graduated from Baldwin High School in 1988. After graduation, he attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University on a full basketball scholarship. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education with a minor in Mass Communication in Radio and TV Broadcast. He retired from the state of Georgia in 2022 after 28 years.

The event furnished bikes and helmets for participants. Organizers helped attendees that may have needed a refresher or tips about cycling. The Baldwin County School District would like to thank Ms. Shonya Mapp, Create Inc., and Riding4Focus for organizing this successful event! They would also like to thank the participants for attending!
