The Baldwin County School District is joining in a statewide celebration to acknowledge the work and dedication of local school board members. The week of March 11-15, 2024, has been proclaimed School Board Appreciation Week in Georgia. This weeklong observance calls attention to the positive contributions made by local boards of education. The school board members are elected to represent our community’s voice on education matters. They invest countless hours fulfilling their responsibilities and working together to continually pursue excellence in our school district and community.

The Baldwin County School Board was named the 2023 Georgia Governance Team of the Year for medium size districts by the Georgia School Boards Association (GSBA). This is the highest honor GSBA gives to a school board who has demonstrated quality governance that has positively impacted their students, staff and community and has set the standard for excellence.

The Baldwin County School Board has also been recognized as an Exemplary School Board eight years in a row for its exemplary leadership and dedication to education. The Board exceeded the criteria set forth by GSBA to earn the honor of 2023 Exemplary Board.

This week, Baldwin County Schools will take the time to thank and honor its school board members for their unwavering commitment to providing a high quality education to all students and their hard work in representing the best interest of the community.
