Baldwin County School District to Host Tasha Butts Day

The Baldwin County School District is thrilled to host Tasha Butts Day on October 18,2024 at Baldwin County High School. Partnering with Atrium Health Navicent, the Georgia Alliance for Breast Cancer and KayYow Cancer Fund, Tasha Butts Day is a day to honor a former Baldwin County High School Bravette, coach and champion for the under-resourced, Tasha was a servant leader committed to breaking down barriers to quality cancer healthcare-a mission near and dear to our collective hearts.

While Tasha lost her two-year battle with breast cancer, her legacy lives on through this event. Tasha Butts Day will be a celebration of Tasha, women’s empowerment, and our ability to collectively make an impact in the fight against all cancers affecting women.

Tasha Butts Day will be held at Baldwin County High School. The agenda will include an introduction to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund and its mission, it will also include awarding of grants to Atrium Health Navicent, and a Proclamation of Tasha Butts Day. The event will be followed up with no cost screenings on Saturday, October 19th at Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin at the Breast Imaging Center.
