The Baldwin County School District is celebrating some big wins from this year’s Georgia Milestones Assessment System (GMAS) results! The 2025 End-of-Grade (EOG) and End-of-Course (EOC) assessments show our students making strong strides in several key areas; proof that hard work from students, teachers, and families is paying off.
Shining Highlights from This Year’s Results

4th Grade English Language Arts (ELA): Our 4th-grade students knocked it out of the park with a 12-point increase in Levels 2–4, bringing us right up to the state average at 69%. Even better, the number of students reading On or Above Grade Level jumped 13 points to 56%—just one point shy of the state average.
8th Grade Science: This group made an incredible 15-point jump, with 43% of students scoring in Levels 2–4.
High School Biology: Our Biology students improved by 11 points, reaching 59% proficiency.
High School Algebra I: Math momentum is strong with a 10-point increase in proficiency, now at 72%.
6th Grade ELA: Levels 3–4 grew by a remarkable 14 points. A huge step forward for middle school reading skills.

While we’re proud of these gains, we know the work doesn’t stop here. Reading and math growth will remain a major focus across all grades, and we’re committed to giving every student the tools, resources, and support they need to succeed.
We’ll continue to use this data to guide instruction and make smart decisions about where to focus our efforts. Congratulations to all the students, teachers, and families who helped make this progress possible. Your hard work shows!
