BCSD Board Recognitions for Golden Radish Award, GADOE Fellowship, and Family Engagement

In addition to recognizing BCSD's Veterans and the monthly Pursuit of Excellence winners, Baldwin County School Nutrition Director Susan Nelson and the School Nutrition Department were formally recognized for winning the Golden Radish Award. The Golden Radish Awards began in 2014 as a way of recognizing the efforts of schools in promoting farm-to-school practices by the Department of Education, the UGA Extension Service, the Department of Public Health, and the Georgia Department of Agriculture.

Lakeview Primary's Teacher of the Year Brittany Nichols was also formally recognized for her acceptance to the 2022 - 2023 Teacher Policy Fellowship at the Georgia Department of Education.

BCSD also recognized Family Engagement Coordinator Shonya Mapp for her excellent parent outreach and in celebration of Family Engagement Month.
