The week of October 18-22, 2021, has been designated as National Bus Safety Week and School Bus Driver Appreciation Week. The theme for this year is “Be safe, Know the Danger Zone. National School Bus Safety Week is held during the third full week of October each year. This week is focused on parents, teachers, students, support staff, school administrators, motorists, and school bus operators coming together to address the importance of bus safety.

The Baldwin County School District would like to thank our bus drivers who take great pride in their task of transporting our students to and from school safely every day. The BCSD Transportation Department is to be commended for its hard work during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our bus drivers rose to the challenge of making the school bus experience safer as the new school year began by implementing enhanced COVID-19 safety protocols.

Please take this time to support our transportation department employees for all they do each day to keep our students safe while traveling to school and back home daily. We encourage our school community to show their support to our bus drivers by thanking them for their hard work and for ALWAYS making the safety of our students the number one priority.
