BCSD Celebrates Read Across America

March 2 is designated as National Read Across America Day, a day established by NEA in 1998 to help get kids excited about reading. The day occurs each year on the birthday of beloved children’s book author Dr. Seuss. Since the popularity and support of the literacy campaign has grown over the years, the celebration has been expanded to a week giving schools the opportunity to engage students in interactive activities involving books and to motivate children to read more.

Baldwin County's Early Learning Center, primaries and elementaries will be celebrating Read Across America throughout the week by hosting a different fun-filled Dr. Seuss themed activity for each day.
