The 2020-2021 School Year was one school year that was definitely a memorable one, but together, the administrators, students, and staff of the Baldwin County School District managed to successfully complete an entire school year in the middle of a global pandemic. In an effort to celebrate the end of a successful school year, the entire BCSD family came together for their annual End of Year Celebration.
This year's celebration was particularly special because last year's gathering was canceled due to the school closures brought on by the start of the pandemic. We commend all of our employees for their swift transition to a new way of working and the unwavering dedication and support they provided for our students during a global pandemic. As we reflect on our 2020-2021 school year, we are reminded of the extraordinary group of employees who make this school district truly remarkable. The effects of the COVID-19 crisis have forced us to look carefully at our priorities and make necessary changes. Yes, we have had to face many challenges along the way, but together we turned this unprecedented school year into a successful one. Our employees performed brilliantly under these extraordinary circumstances.
