Baldwin County School District announces the appointment of its superintendent, Dr. Noris Price, to the Georgia Council on Literacy by Governor Brian Kemp.
This esteemed council was established under Senate Bill 211, which was signed into law in April, and aims to improve literacy outcomes for Georgia students from birth to postsecondary education. Comprised of 30 distinguished appointees, the Georgia Council on Literacy will undertake comprehensive reviews of literary programs spanning from early childhood to higher education. Its primary objective is to ensure that the state of Georgia provides unwavering support in improving literacy outcomes for students across the state.In addition to evaluating existing programs, the council will focus on extensive research to develop recommendations for enhancing literacy rates among students with dyslexia, other learning disabilities, and those from low-income households.
