In a momentous occasion for the Baldwin County School District, Executive Assistant Gina Whitaker was recently bestowed with a special award by Governor Brian Kemp, recognizing her as a Georgia RISE Award winner for her outstanding contributions to the Baldwin County School District.
Annually, the U.S. Department of Education presents the Recognizing Inspirational School Employees (RISE) Award to honor classified school employees who exhibit exemplary service to students and employees from pre-kindergarten through high school. Georgia conducts a state-level process for the Georgia RISE Award to select two employees for national recognition. Gina Whitaker's outstanding contributions have earned her a place as one of two employees in the state to receive this prestigious award. Mrs. Whitaker's impact extends beyond the district, as she stands nominated for the national RISE Award, showcasing the significance of her efforts on a broader scale.
Mrs. Whitaker represents the essence of excellence and exhibits an unwavering commitment to our students and employees. She delivers top-tier event planning, document development, and the actualization of the superintendent and school board’s initiatives, but also excels in communications, web design, and marketing. She is adaptable in unfamiliar environments, has stellar people skills when interacting with the community and district employees, and is exceptionally organized.
