National School Counseling Week, February 7-11

Writer's picture: BCSDBCSD

National School Counseling Week, sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), is February 7-11, 2022. The purpose of National School Counseling Week is to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors and the tremendous impact they have on helping students achieve school success. The Theme this year is “School Counseling: Better Together”.

Please join us in thanking all of our school counselors this week. School counselors are an integral part of the Baldwin County School District. Our amazing group of school counselors offer advice to students and work with them to remove barriers. They have provided much-needed support to our students, staff, and parents throughout this pandemic.

Baldwin County school counselors are actively engaged in helping students examine their abilities, strengths, interests, and talents. Our school counselors continually work in a partnership with parents as they encounter the challenges of raising children in today’s world, especially during the ongoing pandemic. They also focus on positive ways to enhance students’ social/personal, educational, and career development. Most importantly, our school counselors work with teachers, administrators, and support staff to provide an educational system where students can realize their potential and set healthy, realistic, and optimistic aspirations for themselves.

This week, please take the time to thank our school counselors for their commitment and dedication to our students and school district.
