Please Join Us for A Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony in Dedication of Kathryn Lynn Poff

The Baldwin County School District is holding a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony and Dedication on Saturday, October 29th, at 10:00 am, at the intersection of Blandy Road and Highway 49, in memory of Lakeview Primary Teacher, Kathryn "Katie" Lynn Poff. Miss Poff passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016, in Milledgeville from injuries sustained in an automobile accident at the intersection that will be dedicated in her honor on Saturday.


Miss Poff was born March 16, 1989 in Roanoke, Virginia to Kent Poff and Karen Alderman Poff. Kathryn graduated from Gainesville High School in 2007 and later graduated from The University of West Georgia with a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree. After graduating she taught music at Treutlen County Elementary School, New Holland Elementary School, and Creekside Elementary School, now Lakeview Primary.
