The Baldwin County School District Celebrates Teacher Appreciation Week

May 5, 2020

Dear Baldwin County School District Families,

Every year in May, educational institutions nationwide take the time to celebrate teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week. Throughout the week, students, parents, and communities across the country take the time to express their gratitude to educators for the crucial role they play in the lives of children.

The week of May 4th-8th is an opportunity to thank and honor our phenomenal team of teachers for their commitment and dedication to our students. On behalf of the school board and this great community, it is my privilege to extend a heartfelt message of gratitude for the outstanding work that all of our incredible teachers and support staff do for our students. This year’s Teacher Appreciation Week comes at a time when the value of educators is seen from a different perspective. The unexpected upheaval of the coronavirus outbreak has had a profound impact on teachers, students, and families. It is in these challenging times that we truly recognize teachers for their determination and strength as they continue to find innovative ways to inspire and educate our students amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Baldwin County School District consists of countless professionals who dedicate themselves both personally and professionally to ensure students receive the academic, social, and emotional support needed to grow into successful adults and become contributing members of society. Students, Parents, and community members are encouraged to join in the celebration of educators by emailing heartfelt letters, cards, and messages of appreciation; creating artwork, poems and video messages; and sending virtual awards such as eGift cards/virtual gift cards. Each teacher plays an integral role in our school district and our community. Please join us in celebrating these amazing individuals.

Sincerely,

Noris Price, Ed.D.

Superintendent of Schools
