Baldwin County School District Achieves Substantial Gains on CCRPI Report

The Baldwin County School District is proud to announce an increase of 6.1% on the 2016 CCRPI report. All schools in the district recorded gains on the CCRPI report, most notably Blandy Hills Elementary earning a 13.8% increase over the previous year.

“The increases we have seen this year with the CCRPI report and our nearly 20% increase in the graduation rate have come from the incredible work of our teachers, students, administrators and parents,” said Superintendent Dr. Noris Price.

“We have been implementing innovative programs and changing the organizational culture of our schools. We are building a world-class educational system here in Baldwin County based on the fundamental principle that every child is capable of learning and we're seeing that begin to pay off.”

The BCSD experienced gains across our entire district while at the same time performance statewide saw decreases. Baldwin High School, while also recording a 5% increase from the previous year, was also able to outperform the statewide percentage for high schools by 4.2%.

The CCRPI is Georgia’s statewide accountability system, implemented in 2012 to replace No Child Left Behind’s Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) measurement, after the U.S. Department of Education granted Georgia’s waiver from NCLB. It measures schools and school districts on a 100-point scale based on multiple indicators of performance, helping parents and the public better understand how schools are performing in a more comprehensive manner than the pass/fail system previously in place under AYP.
