Jeff Mather, a community-based public artist; an environmental sculptor & site artist & teaching artist based in Decatur, GA ahs began his Artist-in-Residence program at Oak Hill Middle School and will be working with a core group of Oak Hill Middle School students in eighth grade, SAGE, and art on a collaborative STEAM project, focusing on the arts. The Artist-in-Residence will be on campus for fourteen days, where he will conduct workshops throughout the day and provide 3 professional development sessions for teachers involved in the STEAM Ahead Cohort sponsored by an Implementation Grant from the Governor's Office of Student Achievement (GOSA). The residency will conclude on March 9, with a showcase of the final product on March 8.

Jeff has worked extensively in the Atlanta metro area and throughout the southeast as an independent artist and educator, designing and executing numerous works of art in public spaces, and conducting hundreds of workshops and residencies in schools and other community venues.
