Mrs. Hewitt’s 2nd grade OE students got to participate in a fun-filled Lego Bricks4Kidz activity today! A Bricks 4 Kidz® workshop uses LEGO® Bricks that kids love to deliver hands-on lessons correlated to cross-disciplinary curriculum objectives. The Bricks 4 Kidz approach to learning is imaginative, multi-sensory and fun, creating a dynamic learning experience for your students. Students used the Engineering Design Process and had a discussion about the evolution of the hand mixer, from hands to gears to motors. Students worked in small groups after the discussion to follow detailed instructions in order to construct a working hand mixer model out of LEGO bricks!
