The Baldwin County School District announced today that Superintendent Dr. Noris Price has been selected to continue serving as a board member for the Georgia Children’s Cabinet by Governor Brian Kemp. She was initially appointed to the cabinet by former Governor Nathan Deal.
“I’m honored to continue serving in this capacity for children all across Georgia,” said Superintendent Dr. Noris Price. “I’m looking forward to working with the cabinet on identifying programs and initiatives that will ensure that children in our state get the resources and opportunities they need to be successful in life.”
The Georgia Children's Cabinet, administered by First Lady Marty Kemp, consists of all state agency heads that work with child populations as well as select community members, philanthropic, education, and business stakeholders. This single group is the place where state and community programs are aligned, and recommendations for improving delivery of care to children and families are made to impact decision making at the state level.
Georgia Children's Cabinet coordinates policies and resources to improve outcomes for children and families. The Cabinet provides unique leadership on child welfare and juvenile justice issues in Georgia by identifying state strategic priorities, then developing initiatives in response.
