The Baldwin County School District is thrilled to announce the celebration of the Arts on Wednesday, May 17th, from 4:30-6:30 pm at the Baldwin High School Garden. The event will feature live performances from Lakeview Primary, Lakeview Academy, Midway Hills Academy, and Midway Hills Primary, as well as a special exhibit showcasing the student viewpoint of diversity through 4' x 6' murals.
The Art in the Garden exhibit will highlight the works of talented student artists from across the district, whose murals depict what diversity means to them. The pieces are nothing short of amazing and reflect the diverse culture of Baldwin County.
In addition to the student artwork, the event will also feature a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new Aquaponics Greenhouse and the Baldwin Grows Garden Brick Pathway. The new additions are designed to promote agriculture, sustainability, education, and inclusion in the community.
"We are excited to showcase the creativity and diversity of our students at the Art in the Garden exhibit," said Superintendent Dr. Noris Price. "The event is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the value of the Arts and the importance of STEAM in the overall education of our students."
The "Art in the Garden" event is open to the public. Please join us at the Baldwin Grows Garden on May 17th, between 4:30-6:30 pm, for an evening of live performances, student art exhibit, and community engagement.
