National School Counseling Week, sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), is February 5-9, 2024. The purpose of National School Counseling Week is to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors and the tremendous impact they have on helping students achieve school success. The Theme this year is “School Counseling: Standards-Based, Student-Focused.”The theme highlights the positive impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success.
Baldwin County school counselors are actively engaged in helping students examine their abilities, strengths, interests, and talents. Our school counselors continually work in a partnership with parents as they encounter the challenges of raising children in today’s world. They also focus on positive ways to enhance students’ social/personal, educational, and career development. Most importantly, our school counselors work with teachers, administrators, and support staff to provide an educational system where students can realize their potential and set healthy, realistic, and optimistic aspirations for themselves.
Our amazing group of school counselors offer advice to students and work with them to remove barriers. Please take the time this week to thank our school counselors for their commitment and dedication to our students and school district.
