Stuff the Truck 2023 presents a wonderful opportunity for our schools and community to come together and make a difference. Last year, this campaign achieved a remarkable milestone, collecting an astounding 29,463 pounds of food, and this year, we're looking to surpass that achievement.
The campaign will span three days from November 14th to November 16th, and we are inviting all of our schools to participate. Here's how you can get involved:
Start Collecting Food: You can begin collecting non-perishable food items right away to contribute to this worthy cause.
Donation Sites: Four Walmart locations in Milledgeville, Dublin, Macon, and Warner Robins will serve as drop-off points for your food donations. Please bring your contributions during the live broadcasts, and 13WMAZ NEWS will feature your school's efforts. Schools that collect the most food will receive special recognition on 13WMAZ.
Donation Sites and Times for Live Broadcasts:
The Milledgeville Super Walmart: Tuesday, November 14, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Dublin Super Walmart: Wednesday, November 15, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Super Walmarts in Macon and Warner Robins: Thursday, November 16, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
If you are unable to visit any of the donation sites, you can also deliver food directly to the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank at 4490 Ocmulgee East Blvd, Macon. For delivery times, please call 478-742-3958. Additionally, monetary donations will be accepted, and we will provide an online donation link in early November.
Should your school accumulate such a substantial amount of food that transporting it becomes a challenge, please contact the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank to arrange a pickup.
Together, we can make a meaningful impact and combat food insecurity in our community. The Baldwin County School District extends its gratitude for your support of Stuff the Truck 2023.
