Baldwin High’s Band of the Braves Shines at the 2025 Hurricane Classic

The Baldwin High School Band of the Braves brought the storm to Monroe Area High School on Saturday, October 4, earning top honors at this year’s Hurricane Classic.
The band performed with excellence across every category, earning Superior ratings in Color Guard, Drum Major, Percussion, and Overall Band—a clean sweep of the competition’s highest rating.

Color Guard: 2nd Place
Drum Major: 1st Place
Percussion: 1st Place
Overall Band: 1st Place
Overall Placements
Color Guard: 4th Place
Percussion: 3rd Place
Drum Major: 1st Place
Overall Band: 2nd Place — Runner-Up Grand Champion
“This group represents the very best of Baldwin,” said Superintendent Dr. Kristina Brooks. “Their dedication, discipline, and pride in performance are exactly what we mean when we talk about Baldwin’s culture of excellence. We couldn’t be prouder of these talented students and their incredible directors.”
The Band of the Braves continues to build on a proud tradition of musical excellence, uniting skill, spirit, and heart every time they take the field. From early-morning rehearsals to late-night bus rides, these students embody what it means to Believe in Baldwin.
