Baldwin High School Track & Field Take Home Championship Medals



The Baldwin High School, track and field team finished another successful year at the GHSA state track and field championships. The Bravettes finished with four medals: Junior Nafer Rapier finished second in the 300-meter hurdles, and third in the high jump. Senior Jazmine Walker finished in sixth place in the high jump. The girls 4x4 team featuring Rapier, Amilliana Simmons, and Jaymah Cummings finished seventh place.


The Braves finished with three medals: Junior Omirian Fraley, seventh place in the discus. Junior Emmanuel Dixon finished in seventh place in the 800-meter run breaking the school record with a time of 1:58.2. He also set a school record in the 1600-meter run with a time of 4:27.86. The boys 4x2 meter relay team placed fourth. The team comprised senior Jordan Webb, junior Jaden McNealy, sophomore Jalen Boone, and freshman ZyKwon Dyous.


A special honors award ceremony was held at the end of the year to recognize the individual efforts of these accomplished student-athletes. The ceremony was held in the Fine Arts Center at Baldwin High School.
