National School Library Month recognizes the professionals who keep the school library in working order. On Tuesday, April 9th's Monthly Board Recognitions, Baldwin County School District was pleased to recognize its Media Specialists and Clerks; Julie Dupree, Brandi Register, Amber Rhodes, Brenda Brown, Pamela Longino, Keata Anderson, Angela Brantley, Christina Edwards, and a special recognition was given to Janice Zeigler, who tragically passed away earlier this year.
Please join the Baldwin County School District in thanking our librarians/media specialists and media clerks for their dedication and commitment to helping our students find the resources they need to keep learning. They are the people who create an environment where students can learn every day of the year. Their work is an impressive accomplishment. The school librarians/media specialists provide guidance and expose our students not only to texts, print media, and literature but to digital resources and technology, too. These resources also connect them to libraries around the world.
Ready, set, library! National Library Week is April 7–13, 2024, and Baldwin County School District encourages everyone of its students to visit their local library to take part in the festivities and explore all the library has to offer. Libraries give us a green light to experience something truly special: a place to connect with others, learn new skills, and pursue our passions through book clubs, storytimes, movie nights, crafting classes, lectures, and more. Our school library offers a wide array of programs, classes, and resources.
So, get ready to explore, become inspired, and connect with others this National Library Week. The library is there for you, all the way to the finish line.
First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association and libraries of all types across the country each April.
