Congratulations to James St. John, our November 2025 Pursuit of Excellence Award recipient.
James St. John
Bus Driver for the Baldwin County School District Mr. James St. John is working in his seventh year with the Baldwin County School District. He currently works as a Bus Driver in our Transportation Department.
Mr. St. John was nominated by Judith Blount, teacher at the Early Learning Center. Mrs. Blount had the following to say, “Dismissal can already be a stressful time of day for students and adults. There are a lot of moving parts literally and figuratively that go into getting students home safely every day.
There is a schedule that has to be followed to ensure that everyone is where they need to be when they need to be there. However, Mr. St. John has made sure that EVERY single day he stops and greets EVERY single child that gets on his bus(19-2). I have watched him greet every child by name, ask about their day, and give a high five, fist bump, or hug to each child. The love and genuine caring and kindness that he gives to these children has become a highlight of my day to witness. “ Mr. St. John, thank you for being a shining example of excellence!
