BCSD Principals Recognized for National Principals Month

October has been designated as National Principals Month to recognize the essential role principals play in making a school great. The Baldwin County School District is fortunate to have an amazing group of principals leading our schools. These outstanding leaders show a true commitment to leading our young people to a prosperous future. They support and guide quality teachers and staff, resulting in productive learning environments for our students. Whether they lead an elementary, middle, or high school, our principals are visionaries who lead us in providing the best possible education to future generations.
At the October Board Meeting, our principals were formally recognized for National Principals Month. National Principals Month is an opportunity to celebrate and honor our tireless servant-leaders who dedicate themselves daily to the success of their students.
Baldwin County Board of Education approved a National Principals Month Proclamation, which states, "Whereas, principals are expected to be educational visionaries, instructional leaders, assessment experts, managers of student behavior, community builders, public relations experts, budget analysts, facility managers, special programs administrators, and guardians of various legal, contractual, and policy mandates and initiatives, as well as being entrusted with the education and development of young people, our most valuable resource..." and nothing could be further from the truth.
Thank you to each of our principals for their leadership and for going the extra mile for our students! We appreciate you!
We will be featuring our principals throughout the month, and we encourage our students, staff, families, and community members to find ways to demonstrate their appreciation for all that they do. A good place to start is at www.principalsmonth.org .
