In an effort to ensure that the children within the Baldwin County School District are kept warm this winter, the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Dublin and Vidalia stepped up with a big contribution. Through the Harrisburg Community Network, the church members learned of the need and donated 87 jackets for children ages 5-15. Dr. Damion Francis, a Georgia College Professor and community partner, presented the coats to Deputy Superintendent Julio Delgaldo, School Social Worker Ola Scott-Little, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Sharon Simmons, and Family Engagement Specialist Karen Stanley. This donation is part of a larger ongoing effort of several community organizations including churches to help remove barriers to learning for children in need in the Baldwin County School District.Â
