Writer's picture: Felicia CummingsFelicia Cummings

Congratulations to Mrs. Kristie Harwell, the school district's Payroll Clerk, for being chosen as this week's BOE Employee of the Week.

Mrs. Harwell has been working for the Baldwin County School District for more than 2 years. She enjoys working in the finance department and feels her role as Payroll Clerk compliments her talent for solving problems.

"I am an avid problem solver, which makes my job as Payroll Clerk a good fit for me. I am blessed to be a part of an amazing Finance Team and I truly love my BOE family," she said.

Originally from Oconee County, Mrs. Harwell enjoys spending time with her family. In fact, she says it is her "absolute favorite thing to do."

"I absolutely love spending time with my family, no matter what we do. Even if it's just binge watching a series on Netflix, as long as we are together, I am happy."

Mrs. Harwell says she has one amazing family.

"I married my high school sweetheart, Marc, and we just celebrated 25 years of marriage last November. I have 2 amazing children that I adore. My son, Mason, is 21 and he has a beautiful wife, Jamie Mae, that I love just like a daughter. They have 2 of my grandpups, Drake and Harley. My daughter, Kelsey, is 16 and she always keeps me on my toes. I am truly blessed to still have my mother, Linda, that has lived with us pretty much since my father passed away 12 years ago."

Mrs. Harwell, your dedication to your job and to our school district is greatly appreciated! Thank you for all that you do!
