Join us in congratulating Coach Anthony Webb for being named the 2021 Region 4A Coach of the Year! Coach Webb and his coaching staff not only led our Varsity Boys Basketball team to a Region 4A Championship, but he also guided the team to a momentous victory, securing the Georgia High School Association State Title in Basketball--a title that has not been held in Baldwin since 1981.
Coach Webb became the Varsity Boys Basketball Coach in 2019. Basketball has always been a part of his life. He grew up in Sparta where he played basketball at Hancock Central High School before going on to play in college at Albany State University. After serving as head coach at the university for one season, he returned to Hancock Central High School for two seasons before being named Head Coach. During his tenure at Hancock Central, he helped the team secure a Class A State Championship in 2008.
We are so proud of the leadership Coach Webb has provided for our student-athletes. His driving force helped motivate our Baldwin High School Varsity Basketball Team into an amazing history-making victory! Congratulations Coach Webb on being named the Region 4A Coach of the Year!
