Oak Hill Middle's Seticia Smith Featured on GPB's Classroom Conversations

ree

We have great news to share! Our very own Seticia Smith, the 2021-2022 District Teacher of the Year for Baldwin County Schools, was recently featured on the enriching podcast series, Classroom Conversations. Hosted by Ashley Mengwasser and produced in partnership with the Georgia Department of Education and Georgia Public Broadcasting, Classroom Conversations is a platform for educators to share and learn from each other.

In the 20-minute episode, Smith talks about engaging mathematics in the classroom and shares her creative ideas for celebrating special days like Pi Day. She also bravely discusses her personal health journey and how she manages to find rejuvenation in being around children despite undergoing radiation treatment for stage 3B breast cancer.

We couldn't be more proud of Smith for sharing her inspiring story with a wider audience and for being a shining example of resilience, dedication, and passion for teaching. Congratulations, Seticia, on this incredible accomplishment! We can't wait to see how you continue to make a positive impact on your students and the education community.
