The Deputy Superintendent of Baldwin County Schools plays a critical leadership role in supporting the Superintendent with the overall management, supervision, and improvement of the district's eight schools. This role involves direct oversight of key departments, including Assessment and Accountability, Attendance, Maintenance and Facilities, Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), Operations and Student Services, Safety and Security, School Nutrition, Social Workers, Special Education, Technology, and Transportation (see links below) with a focus on aligning district operations to support student achievement and continuous school improvement.

In Baldwin County, the Deputy Superintendent leads district wide instructional improvement efforts in collaboration with the Chief Academic Officer, ensuring the effective implementation of research based practices and the fidelity of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). The Deputy Superintendent supports school principals through ongoing coaching, professional development, and performance evaluations, while also coordinating leadership team meetings to foster collaboration and consistency across schools. Additionally, this role entails monitoring academic performance data, guiding the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, and ensuring compliance with state and federal educational requirements.

The Deputy Superintendent also leads the district's accreditation efforts, supports the coordination of the district's strategic plan, and serves as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders. By building strong systems, fostering effective communication, and promoting a shared vision for excellence, the Deputy Superintendent works to ensure that every student in Baldwin County Schools is prepared to learn, grow, and succeed.
