Mrs. Longino began her teaching career in 1996 in Louisville, Ga. She joined the Baldwin County School District in 1998 as a first grade teacher at Midway Elementary. She is currently the media specialist at Baldwin High School. Mrs. Longino received her bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree in Media & Technology, and an educational specialist in Curriculum and Instruction, all from Georgia College and State University.

What were the factors that influenced you to become a teacher? "There were numerous influences in my life that led me to a career in education and drove me to become a teacher. The main influences were the personal struggles I went through in primary school and the educators and programs offered to me that gave me the opportunity to overcome personal learning issues and allowed me to achieve my life goals. My family, friends, teachers and professors were another important influence. I have come to realize that you cannot create and maintain a life without a support network of friends and family. There are people who lift you up, make you believe in yourself and what you can accomplish. Without their love and influence it is extremely hard to be successful in life or in the workplace."
