Lakeview Academy brought rock and roll to the Oak Hill Middle School Theatre with a presentation of its first-ever Spring Musical "At The Bandstand." Students showed off their song, dance, and acting routines and wowed the captive audience with their outstanding performances.
Preparations for the show started earlier this year with a multi-day audition process that saw great participation from the student body. After the cast was selected, students learned their songs and dances by staying after school every week to practice and perfect their routines. As part of their dress rehearsal, the cast and crew presented a sampling of their show to the students at the Early Learning Center and Montessori Academy.
As a special treat to their schoolmates, the cast and crew also put in three performances at Lakeview Academy.
"At The Bandstand" was directed by LVA Music teacher, Elizabeth Yorker.
