Superintendent Dr. Noris Price received the national ‘All In For Students’ Education Partner Award by Communities in Schools at their national conference in Chicago this week. This award honors the exemplary dedication of an education partner who goes all in for students, empowering them to stay in school, graduate and go on to brighter futures.

“I’m very proud to receive this award because it represents the collaborative work going on in our district to ensure our students graduate from high school and have options,” said Superintendent Dr. Noris Price. “One of our district goals is to work closely with community partners to ensure our students have access to the resources they need to succeed in school. In partnership with Communities In Schools of Milledgeville-Baldwin County (CISMBC), we have been able to bring an array of academic and non-academic services to our students.”

Working directly in 2,300 schools in 25 states and the District of Columbia, Communities In Schools builds relationships that empower students to stay in school and succeed in life.

The Communities In Schools Site Coordinators partner with teachers to identify challenges students face in the classroom or at home and coordinate with community partners to bring outside resources inside schools. From immediate needs like food or clothing to more complex ones like counseling or emotional support, Communities in Schools does whatever it takes to help students succeed.
