BCSD Employee of the Week - Judi Battle

This week, the Baldwin County School District is recognizing Judi Battle, the Director of Human Resources and Procurement, as the BOE Employee of the Week.

Mrs. Battle is a kind soul who loves giving back to the community which is why she enjoys volunteering--no matter the cause. She is an active member of Flipper Chapel AME Church, the Laura Austin Service and Savings Club, the Georgia College & State University African-American Alumni Association, and the Milledgeville-Baldwin Ivy Pearls of Service of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Her favorite quote is "To whom much is given, much is required.

In addition to her volunteerism, she also enjoys traveling, running 5K races, and spending time with her family and friends. Since the pandemic began, she has been spending her downtime making latch hook rugs and watching shows on Netflix. Her favorite movie is Maid in Manhattan.

Faith and family always comes first for Mrs. Battle. She is married to Nathaniel Battle, Sr. and the proud mother of Mariama Battle, the Behavior Specialist at Midway Hills Academy, as well as Nathaniel Battle, Jr., an Airman serving in the United States Air Force. And here's a fun fact about her wonderful family: the family Monopoly game of 2012 still makes them laugh till this day.

"We learned a valuable lesson from that game--DO NOT EVER play monopoly unless we are on the same team!"

Mrs. Battle has worked for a total of 12 years in her field of expertise in both Baldwin County and Washington County. She earned her graduate degree from Georgia College and State University. She also has obtained a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification, as well as her State of Georgia Procurement certification.

Thank you Mrs. Battle for all that you do for the Baldwin County School District!
