BHS Beta Students Give Back

Longino

The BHS Beta Club hosted a canned food drive during the month of November. The classes competed against each other to see who could collect the most canned food items. The winning class received breakfast from the Beta Club. Mrs. Thompson’s class was the winner of the breakfast that collected the most canned food items. The students in the winning class collected 251 canned goods. Beta Club collected 1143 food items that were donated to our BHS food pantry and to the Community Thanksgiving Box-Giveaway. After the huge success they had, the organization decided to have a winter coat drive to help their classmates who are in need of coats for the cold days ahead. National Beta Club’s purpose is to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, leadership and service in elementary and secondary schools. At BHS, the Beta club is definitely promoting service to our community.
