Board Recognizes Teacher of the Year, REACH Scholars, Band Students and More at December Meeting

One of the highlights of every month is our Board Recognitions, in which we honor students and employees. In addition to the announcement of our December Pursuit of Excellence winners and the Board of Education receiving 2022 Exemplary Board and Leading Edge Awards from the Georgia School Boards Association(GSBA), December's Board Meeting saw the formal recognitions of our District Teacher of the Year Susan Curtis, the District's newly announced Reach Scholars, Georgia's District 10 Social Worker of the Year, and the Baldwin High School Band students for their excellent ratings during this year's band competitions.

Susan Curtis was honored for winning the 2022 District Teacher of the Year.

BCSD Social Worker Ola Scott-Little received recognition for winning Social Worker of the Year for Georgia's District 10. She'll go on to compete for the Georgia Statewide Social Worker of the Year in March.

The Board formally recognized the Oak Hill Middle School REACH Scholars for 2022-2023: Jaliyah Anderson, Ashley Aragon Perez, Jerlioundus Armstrong, Felecity Garza, and Addyson Marquez.
