Emergency Family Kit & Baldwin County Emergency Alert Info

The Milledgeville-Baldwin County Emergency Management Agency advises families to have emergency preparedness kits that are easy to access. Some things that should be included are a flashlight and batteries; a first aid kit; a lighter, whistle and duct tape; personal hygiene items; and food. Important local emergency numbers to know is first and foremost 911. For specific emergencies other numbers can be used to get direct assistance from local first responders:

  • Fire Prevention/Fire Safety Office: 478-445-4780

  • City Burn Permit/Fire Safety: 478-414-4030

  • Baldwin County Burn Permit: 478-445-4329

It is also important to stay informed for all potential emergencies. Baldwin County citizens can sign up for alerts through the CodeRED alert system. To register, text baldwinalerts to 99411.
