Oak Hill Celebrates Eighth Grade Students with a Bridging Ceremony

Updated: May 23, 2022

Last week, hundreds of eighth-grade students gathered in the gym of Oak Hill Middle School for their Bridging Ceremony. Mr. Jeremiah Bundrage, Assistant Principals, and Dr. Runee Sallad, Director of Georgia College Early College, formally handed off their students to the continued care and education of Baldwin High School, under principal Mr. Jason Flanders.

"This is very exciting," said Mr. Flanders, "because we're graduating a group of seniors, and here comes the new class to fill that void. Here comes this fresh group of young, energetic rising ninth-graders ready to come to high school, ready to find their place, and ready to become the next group of leaders."

Following the presentation of colors and opening remarks by Oak Hill Principal Mr. Daymond Ray, the OHMS chorus sang, Eighth-grader Brenda Hooks provided a song of inspiration, and superintendent Dr. Noris Price gave remarks before the official presentation of the honors were handed to each student.
